In a shocking revelation, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, a radiologist at a prominent hospital in Ranchi, Jharkhand, has been accused of masterminding a plot to create an Indian version of the notorious terrorist organization, Al-Qaeda. The Delhi Police, in collaboration with local police forces, have carried out multiple raids across Jharkhand, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, leading to the arrest and detention of several individuals linked to this alleged terror module. The Arrests and Raids

Simultaneously, six people were apprehended in Rajasthan’s Bhiwadi district while undergoing weapons training. These individuals, Hasan Ansari, Enamul Ansari, Altaf Ansari, Arshad Khan, Umar Farooq, and Shahbaz Ansari, are all natives of Jharkhand. The police also detained three individuals from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, for questioning.
The Terror Plot Unveiled
The arrests have brought to light a meticulously planned terror operation, allegedly orchestrated by Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed. The police have uncovered a cache of weapons and ammunition during the raids, including an AK-47 rifle, a .38 bore revolver, live cartridges, and a hand grenade. They also recovered a dummy Insas rifle, an air rifle, and various bomb-making materials, indicating the group’s readiness to execute their plans.
According to police sources, Dr. Ahmed is believed to have connections with Abdul Rehman Katki, a close associate of Abdul Rehman Lakhvi, the mastermind behind the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. Katki, who has been imprisoned since 2015 for his links with Al-Qaeda, is now being further investigated to uncover additional details about the module’s operations and training locations.
The police have also revealed that the members of this module were receiving training in handling weapons and conducting terror activities in remote locations, such as the Aravalli Hills in Rajasthan. The group’s alleged plans included carrying out attacks in northern India during the upcoming festive season, which could have resulted in significant loss of life and property.
